UFO was our internal project but still we decided to create something exciting.

Challange

The main point here is that we created a kind of a challenge for ourselves. We decided to use a modern style in illustration and see what else could be done in this video. It is important to strategize all the other elements that follow along to make the motion nice and smooth.

Solution

Choosing the right color schemes can be tricky. Going easy on the color scheme and adding some gradients can make any explainer video look trendy and appealing. Focusing on the right objects and building the scenes around the proper angles can shift the viewer’s attention drastically. That’s why the style was very continuous throughout the whole video. Besides, we integrated textures in the illustration style as well. Moreover, we thought that such features as parallax effects, camera pan, and 3D character would help to make it catching and special. The character’s emotions were unambiguous in animation while great secondary animation (e.g. trees moving in the background) created a true feeling of real time. Sound design was the last and the final stage. It’s so cool how the right music and sound effects transform the video and make it complete!

OKKO is the network of filling complexes (gas stations) in Ukraine. It is the leading Ukrainian company. So its main activity is retail of fuel and consumer goods and services through the network of OKKO branded filling complexes. The company is among leaders at the oil products market and is presented in all regions of Ukraine. Another important direction of OKKO's activities is the retail of consumer goods and services through the network of convenient stores, at filling complexes and outside them. It is also engaged in large and small wholesale of oil products. And provides storage and transporting services of fuel to third parties.

Challange

Every day thousands of Ukrainian people visit OKKO. This is a place where they are no longer at home, but not yet at work. It isn't yet their destination, but they are already on the road. Therefore, the founders and the whole OKKO team thought that they could become not just an ordinary filling station. OKKO can be a place for ideas. That is, a place to rest, refresh, meet business partners, friends or just calmly reflect on a cup of coffee. So our main challenge here was to create an absolutely new video concept, which describes the key features of new service - OKKO PAY as well as to get their message to the people.

Solution

The result was truly amazing – the Okko Pay video we created is very funny and exciting. We used a variety of shapes and bright colors to demonstrate a playful manner. Some people may consider it a little bit childish as we used a very non-standardized style for this type of videos. But in such a way we tried to play with an ordinary thing and to promote it in an engaging way.

Therefore, this unique service saves you a lot of time and you just enjoy the meal.

Nowadays the world seems to be like a hive. People are as busy as bees and are always in a hurry. But this constant run takes a lot of energy which we should renew. Meanwhile, due to the constant lack of time nobody has it. As well as a desire to spend hours in the kitchen by cooking meals. Therefore Gobble could help you with this. It is a meal startup that makes cooking fast. So you have more time to relax and be with your family.

Solution

As you see, the challenge was quite obvious despite the fact that everything seemed to be so clear and easy.
Gobble has a lot of features, which are very important to highlight. But at the same time, this explainer video is quite short (only 30 sec). So we had to make it simple to comprehend, as informative as possible. And always keep in mind the duration of the video. That’s why we decided to show all the pros at the beginning and to sum it up with the subscription.

Midas

MIDAS” is a game-changing musical instrument design, which makes playing music more natural and fun. Therefore playing music just comes naturally to the users even if they do not have any experience.

Challange

Here we faced a lot of challenges: Firstly - one of the important conditions from our client was the basic knowledge of music theory. Hopefully, our motion designer had such skills. Secondly - this instrument is Really unique - it was created by industrial designer. That’s why we needed to find everything about MIDAS in order to understand how it works, explain its essential functions as well as the playing process to the audience. Thirdly - 11 hours time difference. While working with clients from different countries and continents is an exciting thing, sometimes it could be quite challenging. But we closely cooperated with our client on each stage, tried to adjust our working hours to deliver the outstanding result.

Solution

It seemed that we used almost all our potential, expended a big deal of team efforts – but it was worth it!
We created MIDAS – a 3D video that showed an evolutionary way of playing music.
It was an incredible experience! And we are very happy to help such talented inventors to spread their interesting and innovative ideas among people all over the world.

Doosan Group is an internationally famous corporation that has many daughter companies. It operates in different spheres — from energy to construction equipment and even IT services. As highly competitive machinery, parts and equipment production company, Doosan takes pride in the ways they do business. So they work on a variety of projects, including those that focus on making life more sustainable. Moreover, they emphasize technology, innovation, transparency, and social responsibility. Therefore, they build their business on the growth of the business through the growth of people. Because of this we wanted to highlight their core values in the explainer video.

Challange

Our client’s business is multidimensional. That's why this project itself was captivating — it’s a kind of a challenge to demonstrate the complexity of energy system functioning. Doosan wants to be on top of things, especially when it comes to sustainable solutions, such as Doosan GridTech. The goal was to explain Doosan GridTech technology for the world’s clean energy future, which we reached in less than 2,5 minutes. 

Solution

But we coped with it and voila — a huge colorful map with different procedures appeared. We succeeded in highlighting of its separate elements with the help of animation. All this was done in isometrics. And it looks simply beautiful.

Sahara

Sahara Net is the top Internet and Communications Technology provider in the Saudi Market. It was our first time working on a project for Saudi Arabia. Therefore it was important to understand the mindset of the target audience before we jump into anything.

Challange

The challenge was to create a highly professional business explainer video for Sahara Net. We had to present a wide range of cloud services offered by the company. But at the same time, not too make the video rather boring but catching the viewers’ attention. The message had to target both audiences on the regional market, as well as in the international arena. XPLAI team had to approach the problem through the culturally sensitive filter. As cultural discrepancies between the partnering companies may lead to loss of collaboration. Moreover, the task wasn’t that easy as the Arabic version was coming on the way as well (we didn’t speak Arabic, unfortunately).

Solution

The hours-long work and cooperation between the team and our partners had
its effect — we made 2 video versions for Sahara Net: one in English and one in Arabic with simple and accessible illustrations.
It was important to find the right balance in order for the video to look good, engage the viewer and fully fulfill its’ purpose.  We didn’t want to fall victim to stereotyping and yet the idea was to illustrate the setting of the country of origin. 
Moreover, we decided to emphasize the transitions that will be the neutral key element throughout the animation explainer video. In addition, a good sound effect increases the chances of higher engagement and sets the mood of the animation video.
It was a great experience and now we could even understand Arabic a little bit 🙂

Seon

SEON is a risk management fraud prevention service, which brings value by creating a safe environment for online businesses. The company has its head office in Hungary and deals with fraud prevention in the digital sphere.

Challange

The key priority for SEON was to show all of the opportunities and advantages of their system. Using a simple integrated solution industries save thousands of dollars and protect their business operations, finances, and data management from frauds. Therefore, working on this project required a clear structure, rationality, and precision. As a result, we created a video for their future clients which explains it in a simple, and understandable way. Even though the client gave us only 4 weeks for completing everything from storyboard brainstorming to delivery. The CEO of the company had a very structured vision, ready script and the message of their product.

Solution

This video was supposed to be serious. But at the same time interesting to watch for business managers. That’s why we have integrated little worm-like pest characters that kept the idea of malware attacks and frauds. Therefore, to emphasize the whole philosophy of Seon.
A super simple, minimalistic style of illustrations conveyed a conception of the video, while swift and lively animation highlighted the program’s uniqueness.
It was a true pleasure working on this project, everything went extremely smooth.

Zoo Rewards

Zoo Reward Program is an exciting way to learn about conservation issues over the summer and possibly win some “Zoo-per” fun prizes. This is why their camp programs are a great way to introduce children to conservation and animal ecology. The idea of Zoo rewards explainer animation video was to show all the advantages of the fun rewards card.

Challange

This time we had to face one important demand - to make a funny and engaging video for both children and their parents. So the adults should understand how their family could benefit from having a Wild Rewards card. And kids - just to enjoy discovering nature up-close.

Solution

We created this video to delight both the kids and their parents by showing their excitement in it. Zoo Rewards explainer is full of colors and happiness. In such a way we tried to explain all the advantages of fun rewards in an easy and gentle way.
Behind the scenes tours, feeding animals, discounts on summer camps are only a few of them offered by Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. So the ideas were to portray the spirit of the parks, abounding freedom and openness. Nevertheless, we had to squeeze in the zoo description, the benefits of getting discounts and adding information about summer camps.

That is to say, everything for you in order to build high-quality custom and in-stock clothing. However, our challenge was to show this remarkable quality of clothing combined with an exceptional style.

Solution

It wasn’t that easy to present everything in the video. Firstly, a good design that serves a higher purpose; secondly, clothing that should be simple, and many other important aspects. In other words, they all meet only one goal – to simplify the men’s everyday hassle. This brand symbolizes the quality and style over the decades, for sure.
That’s why the details don’t just matter for them, they’re everything! Moreover, we spent hours searching for the ideal style, combining with the creation of top-notch illustrations.
Sometimes it takes a lot of time to create something perfect. But the result was worth it – a video ready to conquer the whole world!
We did our best to present how real men dress today. Most importantly, we wanted to give them some certainty that what they’re wearing is stylish, timeless, and of high quality.
