Creating Nonprofit Video – Animation for the NPO Hopeland
Brief
Hopeland — a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world where every child grows up in a safe, loving family.
The challenge was to develop a video that went beyond being a simple explainer and instead evoked emotions, allowing viewers to connect with the organization’s mission.
Storyboard
The guys liked the style and aesthetics of the explainer video that we made earlier for another client (also about heavy machines) and they asked us to do something similar
It served as a blueprint for the upcoming animation process.
Illustrations
To find the perfect style direction, we created four moodboards.
After careful consideration, the client selected moodboard #3, which featured realistic faces that aligned with the envisioned style for the video.
This decision allowed us to move forward confidently.
Colors
To create a dramatic effect, we opted to divide the scenes into different color schemes: negative, neutral mood and positive.
Voice Over
We promptly selected a narrator who could bring the draft script to life.
The voice-over served as a guiding element during the animation process, helping us set the timing and tone.
It was crucial in capturing the desired emotions and conveying the message effectively.
Animation
With the script, storyboard, and voice-over in hand, we began animating the video.
This was where our creativity and expertise truly came into play.
We worked tirelessly to make the video emotionally captivating, incorporating scenes that ranged from futuristic and business-oriented to moments of loneliness, problems, and ultimately warmth, love, and happiness.
Our aim was to create a video that would deeply resonate with the audience and leave a lasting impact.
